Rehoming & adoption
Giving an animal in need a loving home is a wonderful thing to do. We’ll walk you through the process, from finding the right match to bringing your newest family member home, so you can both start a great life together.
Most of our rehomed pets aren’t puppies or kittens. They’re loud, quiet, fluffy, big, small, or even three-legged. They come with a personality ready-made, a past that’s unique to them and a lot of love to give. He might be the dog who runs over and has a sniff, or the cat who comes to sit beside you. You never know who you’ll meet and bond with!
Now it’s up to you to give the animals in our care the loving home they deserve.
Give an animal a temporary home
We rely on fosterers to provide temporary homes for the animals in our care. Fostering an animal can help them recover from neglect, abuse, illness or injury. These are the first steps towards finding a new, loving forever home.
When you foster an animal you’ll also be freeing up space in our centres so that we can rescue more animals in desperate need.
If you’re not ready to adopt, would you consider fostering? It’s a really rewarding way to help. For many animals, being in a foster home is an essential step on their road to a forever home.

Pet care
Pets can offer us so much, so they deserve our care and respect. On these pages, you’ll find everything you need to know about how to care for your pet and keep them healthy, happy and safe all year round – whether it’s a dog, a cat or a bearded dragon!
Whichever animals we choose to spend our lives with, it’s amazing how much they can offer us:
- Owning a pet can keep you healthy by boosting your immune system and encouraging you to get regular exercise
- Older people walk faster and for longer when they regularly walk their dogs and have better mobility in their homes.
- Growing up with pets may improve children’s social skills and encourage childhood responsibility.
- Pets can also encourage children to develop compassion, understanding and respect for living things.
- Dogs can be trained to detect drugs, explosives and diseases such as cancer.
- Cats have incredible hearing and can detect higher frequencies of sound than humans or even dogs.
