Our highstreet shops

Our shops remain at the heart of our communities and sell a wide range of preloved and seasonal items. We are happy to accept donations during open hours but ask that donations are not left overnight on the doorsteps.

If you would like to join us as a volunteer in a particular shop, please pop in and ask for an application form from one of our team.

Answers to your FAQs

We’re here to help, whether to answer an animal welfare question or assist if you are one of our valued supporters or members. Please see below some of our most frequently asked questions.

How do I report cruelty, or where do I go if I need advice?

To report cruelty please chat to us online between the hours of 9am and 5pm. We also have animal welfare help and advice online.

Download the Relay UK app for help contacting us if you’re deaf, hard-of-hearing or speech-impaired.

To adopt or foster you can go on our ‘find a pet’ section at the top of this page, it will take you to a section of animals that need to be rehomed.

You can chose the animal/s that suit you best and apply through there to adopt or foster, either is greatly appreciated.

There are many different ways to volunteer with the RSPCA, if it’s your local shop, just call or go in, asking if they need or have any room for a new volunteer.

But if you want to help directly with helping the animals, then you can look on the main RSPCA website for Volunteering opportunities and apply through there.

At the top of this page press the ‘Get Involved’ section then go onto ‘Donate’ and you can donate directly through there.

You can donate money, animal food, toys, or any of your items you don’t need anymore to our charity shops.

Yes and no, straight up you wont pay a price for owning the animal, and you will get some help. But overall the pet is now under your care and is yours to provide for, so food, toys, vet bills etc are all yours.

Our Southeast Somerset branch supports animals in need locally, the funds we raise with our local shops, website and events don’t go to the main branch, and us instead.

We also focus on rehoming and supporting animals whereas the main RSPCA deal with the cruelty concerns and handle any welfare issues.
