Animal Care

Position: Animal Care Assistant

We only have a small unit but you will need transport as it's near Yeovil but not in the town. There is the opportunity to learn more about cat care and behaviour, helping them to recover from an unsatisfactory home brought to us mainly by the Inspectors where we help them recover to a time find a new caring home for them. Two to three hours a day in the mornings or an hour in the evening is required. We welcome Duke of Edinburgh students, Animal Care students or work experience

Position: Cat Fosterers

We have a few cats that need special care, either temperament or veterinary. We pay all food and vet costs

Retail Volunteers

Position: Retail Volunteers

We have vacancies at all our shops at Street, Crewkerne, Somerton and Glastonbury where our experienced staff can guide you through the skills of stock sorting and valuing, Presentation is extremely important and we all learn from each other. Most important of all and sadly lacking in today's education is customer relations, the most difficult but rewarding of all we can help you develop your skills. We welcome Duke of Edinburgh students or work experience

Tuesday to spare

Position: Tuesday to spare

Bored sitting at home, want to do something rewarding? One of the trustees spends Tuesday's moving stock from one shop to another, collecting donations and various other "odd job man" roles. They certainly have a laugh. Based near Yeovil but could be within a 10 mile radius north of there and Tuesday could be flexible. Needs to be reasonably fit and have a clean driving licence
