About us.

This branch was started in 1974 by Marjorie Vergan and a group of friends.

At the celebration of the 25th anniversary we took this photo of Marjorie together with Inspector Guy Harrison and Maggie Baker, then branch treasurer and welfare officer.

Marjorie passed away earlier this year (2005) and the branch is grateful to her for remembering them in her will as she always promised.

We await the receipt of this.

Guy has since retired but still sees many of us every week and Maggie is now branch secretary and welfare officer.
